About the Recipe

Chef Florence loves swapping in plant protein for meat whenever she can - this recipe is a fun way to try out Afric Sauce in an unexpected vegan dish - spaghetti!

INSTRUCTIONS

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups textured pea protein

  • 3 cups water

  • 1 cup Afric Sauce

  • ½ green bell pepper

  • ½ onion

  • ½ red bell pepper

  • 1 tbsp bouillon powder (seasoning)

  • 1 tsp sea salt


STEPS
  1. Soak textured pea protein in water for 10 mins

  2. Chop onion and pepper 

  3. Add chopped onion, pepper, salt and seasoning to a skillet; cook 3-5 mins.

  4. Drain textured pea protein and add to skillet.

  5. Add water to a separate pot and boil.

  6. Add Afric Sauce, stir and cover to cook for 10-15 mins over medium heat. While cooking, add the spaghetti noodles to the pot of boiling water and cook according to box instructions.

  7. Remove sauce from heat and serve on cooked spaghetti noodles.
